Protech and partner ClearCourse company Clear Direct Debit have worked in conjunction to provide simplified direct debit processing for a leading membership organisation.

Protech has worked with the membership organisation to provide the functionality within ProConnect web to allow members to set up a monthly direct debit as part of the sign-up process when they register to join, renew or re-join as a member of the organisation.

The setting up of the direct debit will allow customers to pay their subscription on a monthly or annual basis, removing the admin burden of making individual monthly or annual payments. From the client’s perspective, it will improve their member retention rate as the new automated process will result in less customers not renewing their membership. From a financial perspective, it will also improve the accuracy of cashflow reporting, which is especially vital within the current economic climate.

The membership organisation has also signed up to Clear Direct Debit’s bacs approved bureau to make their direct debit collections more compliant, efficient and secure.  The direct debit collection process will be seamlessly facilitated due to the integration between ProConnect and the Clear Direct Debit solution, vastly improving the previous process that was arduous, time consuming and posed data security and human error risk.
