As we are all aware, there is significant concern around the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on business operability. Protech is taking this issue very seriously. Our priority is and always will be the well-being of our employees and clients.

Further to the government’s announcements yesterday evening Protech would like to update you on the following;

  1. All of our teams will follow the guidelines outlined by the U.K. Government and their advisors on 16th March and continue to monitor their personal well-being carefully and self-isolate themselves and their household for 14 days if they experience any symptoms, however mild.
  2. During w.c. 9th March Protech successfully ran trial working from home days to test BCP capability. This test confirmed that all our teams have facilities to remotely access our server infrastructure in order to work from home with their usual desktop applications, as they would do from the office. Therefore, given that Protech staff are proven to have the capability to work remotely and in line with government advice, all Protech employees will work remotely with immediate effect. We anticipate there will be no significant disruption to our normal operations.
  3. We ask that wherever possible clients contact us by e-mail at support@protech.co.uk rather than telephoning the office.
  4. We have instructed our teams to engage with our clients to ensure only essential travel and instead of on site visits, to arrange meetings via phone, WebEx or other communication platforms.

Whilst writing we extend our best wishes, to our clients and partners, and as always feel free to contact any member of the Protech management team with any questions or concerns.
