Jenny Watkins
Jenny Watkins Managing Director
Since the Clear Course Acquisition in July 2019, Jenny has stepped up to the role of Managing Director of Protech and is responsible for the ongoing business strategy and operations. Jenny has experience and expertise in leading business expansion, organisations transformation, change management and business strategy.
Jenny has operated at senior levels in a variety of sectors, both as a director and in advisory/strategic roles as a senior management consultant, supporting in both public and private sectors and has been with Protech for over 19 years.
Steewan Singh
Steewan SinghChief Technology Officer
Steewan is co-founder of Protech and has over 32 years industry experience. His career has spanned Tarmac, Northgate and MDIS. He has held a range of technical roles including systems architect, development director and head of R&D. Steewan works closely with Protech’s clients and their end users, helping them to fully maximise the benefits of deploying our technology solutions. A highly creative technician, Steewan leads the continued development for ProConnect
Steve Shiels
Steve ShielsHead of Operations
Steve joined Protech in 2010 as a business consultant after undertaking a BSc and master’s degree at The University of Birmingham.
Steve experienced all facets of the implementation including data migration, system testing, on-boarding services, and in particular was responsible for the Awarding Body work streams. Steve then moved on to manage various projects before being promoted to Professional Services Manager in 2015, taking responsibility for the management of projects across the client base. In 2017 Steve was made Head of Operations, taking charge of both delivery of projects and ongoing support whilst having oversight of Protech’s development roadmap.
Steve Jackman
Steve JackmanCustomer Services & Infrastructure Manager
Steve recently joined Protech to take up the role of customer services and infrastructure Manager. In his role, Steve is responsible for all aspects of customer support, managing the platform that delivers Protech’s cloud hosting and web services and maintaining Protech’s ISO27001 Information Security Accreditation. Steve is highly experienced having worked in a variety of roles for over thirty years all of which focused on infrastructure management, support and customer service.
Kris Watkins
Kris WatkinsDevelopment Manager
Kris joined Protech in 2014 and bought a wealth of experience with him as in his previous role he spent seven years as a full stack NET developer and the last two and a half years as the development manager. Kris completed an MSc in Intelligent Systems Engineering and a BEng in Computer Science with software engineering at the University of Birmingham.
Kris works closely with the development team to provide technical support and guidance as well as managing the delivery of the development work using an agile based methodology.
