<p>The Institute of Brewing &amp; Distilling (IBD) has chosen to deploy Protech&#8217;s powerful engagement management software, ProConnect to play a key role in transforming the <a href="https://www.ibd.org.uk/">IBD</a>’s technology capabilities to help the IBD achieve its vision of delivering the most respected and widely recognised qualifications and education for professional brewers and distillers worldwide.</p>
<p><em>“To successfully deliver the IBD’s strategy, ensuring that we achieve our vision and plan for future development in new areas, we needed to review our existing business systems and processes, including our CRM solution,”</em> said Dr Jerry Avis the IBD’s CEO.</p>
<p><em>“We worked closely with Purple, Business and Technology Consulting, to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the CRM marketplace,”</em> said Avis. “<em>Following a detailed market evaluation and tender process supported by Purple, IBD selected ProTech as our CRM and digital provider. We will be deploying Protech’s ProConnect , which provides a fully integrated web and CRM solution capable of meeting our specific technology requirements.”</em></p>
<p>ProConnect will help IBD simplify membership and subscriptions, event management and qualifications modules, underpinned by Protech’s workflow, sales ledger and reporting functionality to drive process automation and simplify customer service delivery processes.</p>
<p><em>“Our focus on providing qualifications, education and lifelong learning for our members was a key factor when selecting our new CRM provider,”</em> said Deborah Kennedy, Programme Manager at IBD.<em>“The qualification functionality within ProConnect meets this requirement and our existing assessment provider has a close relationship with Protech so its software fully integrates with ProConnect CRM.</em></p>
<p>ProConnect&#8217;s content management system (CMS) capability will underpin the delivery of a new fully integrated website for IBD . This integration will provide a value driven enhanced online experience for IBD’s members providing sophisticated user journeys with a consistent look and feel from initial registration to ongoing engagement. Crucially, the integrated solution will also deliver personalised, relevant content to members and customers.</p>
<p>“<em>Protech’s ProConnect will enable us to deploy a future proof technology platform which will increase our operational efficiencies by providing real time access to accurate management information and analytics and increased integration with our key business processes, and finance systems,</em>” said Kennedy.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As part of the <a href="https://www.iia.org.uk/">Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors</a>’ (Chartered IIA) drive to improve its effectiveness as a service provider to its members, Protech’s powerful engagement management software, ProConnect, has supported the Institute’s deployment of a new technology platform to increase its self-service functionality and e-commerce capability.</p>
<p>ProConnect consists of a suite of customer-facing solutions including websites, CMS, portals and applications, all underpinned by Protech’s specialist CRM functionality.</p>
<p>Protech’s ProConnect, a Government ‘OFFICIAL’ security accredited solution, now allows Chartered IIA members to renew their subscriptions, book services and buy products via its e-commerce optimised website and crucially, make online payments using a direct debit sign-up.</p>
<p>“Providing self-service functionality enhances member engagement with us by making it quick and easy for them to access the information they want, and to do and pay for, the things they want,” said Steve Rainbird, Programme Manager (Products &amp; Systems) for the Chartered IIA. “Previously these member actions and the resulting payments had to be carried out over the phone or payment had to be made via a cheque!”</p>
<p>Protech’s team has worked closely with the Institute and its web development partner to develop web services and functionality, utilising the features and functionality of Umbraco, to enable the Chartered IIA to roll out automated online event booking programmes. This self-service functionality has already resulted in two thirds of bookings completed online and the aim for 2016 is to increase this to 85-90%.</p>
<p>ProConnect’s workflow engine delivers benefits from automated back office and website driven processes that significantly improve the Chartered IIA’s efficiency and productivity. As an example, Protech’s workflow functionality now automatically issues acknowledgment emails for invoices and receipts upon payment.</p>
<p>Leveraging Protech’s easily configurable and flexible engagement management software, designed to allow reconfiguration as necessary by Protech’s clients, the new technology platform delivers improved CRM functionality for the Chartered IIA. The ability to carry out greater in-house customisation ensures that the Institute can respond to the evolving requirements of both internal users and its members.</p>
<p>The Chartered IIA undertook a detailed tender process to find a CRM solution that would deliver integration across the Institute’s business units and deliver a technology platform from which to introduce e-commerce.</p>
<p>“We felt that ProConnect combined with Protech’s 300+ open APIs, was the best fit overall. It provides a complete solution that meets the Institute’s CRM and workflow requirements by delivering features and functionality around our Membership, Events, Qualifications, Finance and CRM requirements. ProConnect has workflow, process automation and reporting capability at its core, delivered in a single application that fully integrates with our website,” said Rainbird.</p>
<p>“Another key factor in our choice of Protech was its 20+ years of expertise delivering specialist technology and change management solutions across the Not for Profit (NFP) sector and its customer base of NFP clients who were able to provide valuable reference site feedback,” added Rainbird.</p>
<p>Following an organisation wide scoping stage to define the Institute’s specific requirements and a phased implementation over 12 months, the project to deploy Protech’s CRM solution was delivered within budget and with the milestones set by the Chartered IIA met. All business units were live within 16 months from the start date.</p>
<p>“Our Protech Project Manager was able to demonstrate to the Institute’s internally appointed IT project auditor that the programme was under control at all times,” said Rainbird.</p>
<p>A critical factor in the success of this deployment was migration of existing data from the legacy system. Protech achieved this and in addition rationalised the data ensuring that the Institute would achieve the optimal performance from ProConnect.</p>
<p>“Protech’s support of our new technology platform is helping the Institute to deliver on its objective to make our systems and processes fit for purpose across many areas of our organisation. Alongside our website functionality, this allows us to offer e-commerce capability, which is helping us improve our members’ experience,” said the Institute’s chief executive, Dr Ian Peters.</p>
<p><strong>NB:</strong><em>Following Protech’s recent rebranding and repositioning, its Pro9 software and ProWeb digital platform are now delivered as ProConnect.</em></p>

<p>ProConnect consists of a suite of customer-facing solutions including websites, CMS, portals and applications, all underpinned by Protech’s specialist CRM functionality.</p>
<p>Protech’s powerful engagement management software will significantly improve NCC Education’s levels of customer service, reduce its operating costs and support its business strategy to deliver a web-based communications channel for its customers, employee users and learners.</p>
<p>NCC Education are a leading awarding body and global provider of high-quality British education qualifications, recognised by universities, professional bodies and employers worldwide. NCC Education currently offers its complete education solution through its global network of Accredited Partner Centres in more than 50 countries worldwide.</p>
<p>“As our Awarding Body Management System is now out dated it does not integrate fully or in some areas at all, with other systems we deploy,” said Emma Dawkins, NCC Education&#8217;s Academic Director. “This has resulted in our inability to take advantage of modern technology and its application in innovative teaching delivery and assessment activity which are at the core of an awarding organisation.”</p>
<p>One of the key criteria in the selection of Protech as NCC Education’s preferred CRM provider was its ability to provide a CRM solution that supported the delivery of a cloud-based Awarding Body Management System. This will enable NCC Education to move away from its existing ‘on premise’system thereby removing the need to manage and support the infrastructure required to host the CRM and digital solution.</p>
<p>NCC Education’s Awarding Body Management System will be hosted in Protech’s fully serviced managed cloud infrastructure.Protech provides a highly-secure cloud environment which is always available and supported 24&#215;7, 365 by Protech’s front line support team.</p>
<p>ProConnect’s functionality has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the Not for Profit (NFP) sector and meets NCC’s individual requirements for CRM, Education, Record Management, Sales &amp; Marketing and Sales Ledger.</p>
<p>This functionality will ensure that NCC Education’s Awarding Body Management System will be scalable, flexible and adaptable to meet its current and future business requirements, providing crucial integration with other major systems it uses.</p>
<p>ProConnect will allow Protech to design and build a new Centre Portal for NCC Education that will initially provide an online interface for its Accredited Partner Centres.</p>
<p>The Centre Portal will enable NCC Education’s Accredited Partner Centres to perform additional online activities including: registering students and their individual profile, register students onto their specific qualification journeys, schedule exams, conduct online exam assessments, receive qualification results, monitor and track students’ progress, throughout their learning journey and to download and view key resources.</p>
<p>“ ProConnect will enable NCC Education to fully leverage data captured from our corporate website and Centre Portal and to crucially share it across the organisation delivering a richness of data that was not previously possible,” said Dawkins.</p>
<p>Protech’s cloud-based solution will compliment NCC Education’s existing Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) ensuring that it offers learner-led and customised features in line with and exceeding those of other VLE’s currently on the market.</p>
<p>Business benefits to be delivered will include: user accounts fully integrated with NCC Education’s main student and Centre Portal database, automated workflow, and integrated document management across the organisation. Importantly, NCC Education’s financial processes and data will now be integrated with its accounting system.</p>
<p>“We chose Protech as its team quickly understood our business requirements. It was clear that the team’s pragmatic and transparent approach would ensure that a partnering relationship would be established with NCC Education’s project team,” Dawkins added.</p>
<p>“Protech has met our key objective around the replacement of our existing Awarding Body Management System as it will enable efficient manageability and sustainability of our systems through controlled development and systems integration. At the same time, it will support and deliver customer self-service and drive out waste and zero value workflow and processes,” said Dawkins.</p>
<p>The deployment of Protech’s ProConnect is a key element of NCC Education’s overall business strategy to implement an integrated IT and CRM solution. The objective is for the solution to support the operational management and delivery of NCC Education’s core teaching and assessments business and deliver a web based communications channel for its customers and employee users enabling a direct relationship with its learners.</p>

<p>Collaboration between <a href="https://www.protech.co.uk">Protech</a> and <a href="https://www.sungardas.com/en-GB/">Sungard Availability Services</a> meets the requirements of the College of Policing (the College) for a highly secure cloud-based CRM solution, to provide those working in policing with the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent crime, protect the public and secure public trust.</p>
<p>ProConnect’s  powerful engagement software consists of a suite of customer-facing solutions including: websites, CMS, portals and applications, all underpinned by Protech’s specialist CRM functionality.</p>

<p>ProConnect captures and stores data for the College to support the dissemination of the College’s knowledge, training and standards to more than 300,000 police officers and police staff across the UK.</p>
<p>As part of its drive to provide flexible and personalised support to Police Officers and staff to aid their professional and career development, the College wanted to offer secure access to its online services and content.</p>
<p>ProConnect has enabled the College to achieve this by providing access for members whilst at work via Sungard AS’ Managed Cloud Services for UK Government (a pan-European accredited ‘OFFICIAL SENSITIVE’ Platform as a Service solution) connected to the Public Services Network (PSN).</p>
<p>Access for members, using any mobile device outside of work, is provided via a secure internet connected platform which detects the device being used to access the College’s Membership website. To prevent unauthorised access, content and data delivered is restricted to meet the College’s security requirements.</p>
<p>“To meet the College’s exacting security requirements, we needed to be able to demonstrate that Protech’s solution could meet the security standards set down by the National Accreditor and Government Digital Services,” explained Jenny Parsons, Protech’s COO. “Sungard AS’ security expertise played a key role in successfully guiding Protech through the complex accreditation process, at the same time as providing a secure hosted platform with an underlying cloud infrastructure accredited in line with the National Cyber Security Centre‘s 14 defined cloud security principles.”</p>

The Society seeks to serve the public interest by engaging patients, policy-makers, educators and the public with hormone science.</p>

<p>The Society first deployed a Protech software solution over ten years ago, when it was the only provider able to meet the Society’s and Bioscientifica’s complex multi-organisational membership requirements.</p>

<p>Particularly important to the Society was ProConnect’s ability, unlike other providers, to offer flexible UDD enabling users to add fields allowing specific additional data to be easily and securely captured.</p>

<p>ProConnect also enables the Society to benefit from its record relationship functionality which provides users with a graphical view of past, current and future relationships between records.</p>
<p>Whilst this is a feature of many CRM systems, ProConnect offers users a high level of sophistication whilst maintaining simplicity of use.</p>

<p>Utilising ProConnect’s web services (300+ open APIs) it has been possible to optimise the performance of the Society and Bioscientifica websites and to offer improved self-service capabilities for members.</p>

<p>The Society will now be able to improve and better record communication with its members and track their journeys within organisations, helping to increase member retention and highlight potential opportunities for member recruitment.</p>

<p>Protech’s ProConnect has driven changes in business processes that will deliver more accurate and timely reporting across the Society and Bioscientifica’s client organisations. Increased efficiencies will save both time and money in the long term.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.iia.org.uk/">Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors</a> (Chartered IIA) has been leading the profession of internal auditing since 1948 and became the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors on 1st October, 2010. It is the only professional body focused exclusively on internal auditing. Its International Standards and Code of Ethics bind a global community of over 180,000 internal auditors in 170 countries and over 9,000 members in the UK and Ireland.</p>
<p>Internal Auditors help protect the organisations they work for by assessing whether all significant risks are properly identified, controlled and reported to the board, usually via the audit committee, and by challenging executive management to improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls.</p>
<p><strong><em>Challenge faced by the Chartered IIA:</em></strong></p>
<p>The Chartered IIA realised that its existing technology platform could not support its member service strategy to meet members’ growing expectations for self-service functionality and e-commerce capability.</p>
<p>As an example, members could only renew subscriptions, book services and buy products over the phone and payments had to be made via cheque.</p>
<p>The Chartered IIA needed to increase member engagement by making it quick and easy for members to access the information they want, and to do and pay, for the things they want.</p>
<p><strong><em>First steps:</em></strong></p>
<p>The Chartered IIA undertook a detailed tender process to find a CRM solution that would deliver integration across the Institute’s internal departments and support a technology platform from which it could introduce e-commerce capability.</p>
<p><strong><em>Why the Chartered IIA chose Protech’s ProConnect</em></strong></p>
<p>“We felt that Protech’s ProConnect, combined with its 300+ web services, was the best fit overall. It delivers a complete solution that meets the Institute’s CRM and specialist requirements by delivering configurable specialist Membership, Events and Qualifications and Finance CRM modules with workflow, process automation and reporting capability at their core, in a single application that fully integrates with our website.” said Steve Rainbird, Programme Manager (Products &amp; Systems) for the Chartered IIA.</p>
<p>“Another key factor in our choice of Protech was its 20+ years of expertise delivering specialist technology and change management solutions across the NFP sector and its customer base of NFP clients who were able to provide valuable reference site feedback,” added Rainbird.</p>
<p><em>Phased implementation within budget and milestones met:</em></p>
<p>Following an organisation wide ‘Discovery’ stage to define the Institute’s specific requirements and a phased implementation over 12 months, the project to deploy Protech’s Government ‘OFFICIAL’ security accredited CRM solution was delivered within budget and with the milestones set by the Chartered IIA met. All business departments were live within 16 months from the start date.</p>
<p>“Our Protech Project Manager was able to demonstrate to the Institute’s internally appointed IT project auditor that the programme was under control at all times,” said Rainbird.</p>
<p><strong><em>The Benefits:</em></strong></p>
<p>ProTech’s CRM solution has helped the Chartered IIA improve its effectiveness as a professional body for its members, supporting the successful deployment of a new technology platform that increases self-service functionality and e-commerce capability.</p>
<p><strong><em>Increased self-service and e-commerce capability</em></strong></p>
<p>Members are now able to renew their subscriptions, book services including events, and buy products via the Chartered IIA’s e-commerce optimised website, and crucially make online payments using a direct debit sign-up.</p>
<p><strong><em>Enables automated online event booking</em></strong></p>
<p>Protech’s team has worked closely with the Institute and its web development partner to develop web services and functionality, utilising the features and functionality of Umbraco (the friendly open source CMS in the Cloud), to enable the Chartered IIA to roll out automated online event booking programmes. This self-service functionality has already resulted in two thirds of bookings completed online and the aim for 2016 is to increase this to 85-90%.</p>
<p><strong><em>Increased efficiency and productivity</em></strong></p>
<p>ProConnects Microsoft workflow engine enables automated back office and website driven processes that significantly improves the Chartered IIA’s efficiency and productivity. As an example, Protech’s workflow functionality now automatically issues acknowledgement emails for invoices and receipts upon payment.</p>
<p><strong><em>Ability to respond quickly to the needs of internal users and members</em></strong></p>
<p>Leveraging ProConnects easily configurable and flexible software, designed to allow reconfiguration as necessary by Protech’s clients, the new technology platform delivers improved CRM functionality for the Chartered IIA. The ability to carry out greater in-house customisation ensures that the Institute can respond to the evolving requirements of both internal users and its members.</p>
<p><em><strong>Achieve optimal performance from ProTech’s softwar</strong>e</em></p>
<p>A critical factor in the success of this deployment was migration of existing data from the Institute’s legacy system. Protech achieved this and in addition transformed the data ensuring that the Institute would achieve the optimal performance from the ProConnect software.</p>
