Project Scoping

We have a tried and proven approach to the full identification of the detailed requirements of our clients. The first phase of any project is always the project definition or scoping phase. In essence this is a period of time where we take the information provided thus far; typically the Invitation to Tender / Request for Proposal and we work directly with business consultants and end users to establish the detail behind each element documented.
Our approach is really one of a 'gap analysis' as during the consultancy we use interactive access to the Pro-8 system. This enables a cross migration of ideas and requirements between the clients team and the ProTech team.
All of the consultants at ProTech are long term highly experienced individuals who have many years experience in the not-for-profit sector. As such much emphasis is placed on 'challenging' the requirements and processes currently defined / in place. With recourse to many different configurations for many diverse clients, we are often able to explain / show new clients different ways of achieving the proposed requirement.
All elements of these sessions are documented with both the original requirement narrative, the detailed consultancy requirements notes and explanations and, where appropriate, screen shots. These are also supplemented by jointly defined process diagrams to show how the actual solution will embrace both technology and people with the appropriate procedures.
Once complete these documents form the basis for the overall project and contractual agreement between ProTech and the client.
