ProEducation has been designed to meet the requirements of awarding bodies and membership/training organisations for managing education programmes including exams, centres, students and associated certification, supporting NVQ and BTEC standards.

The system allows students/candidates to be booked onto examinations and courses.  Facilities are provided (via Wizards) to easily transfer students from one booking to another together with the definition and maintenance of assignments.  All these facilities are seamlessly integrated with the financial processing facilities within Pro-7 managing the whole examination process; maintaining student’s details; registration, qualifications, exemptions and exam programme, facilitating:

Students/Candidates

A complete record of student program details are maintained providing a holistic view of a student of the educational activities they are involved in or have undertaken. The system manages student exemptions, recognising supporting qualifications as part of the program and offering exemption from related parts of the curriculum. Where a student does not adhere to the timescale's of the curriculum the system can be set to automatically fine the student.

Training/Exam Centres           

Curriculums, once created, can be assigned to an appropriate educational centre. Each centre can be attributed many curriculums according to supporting qualified personnel. These curriculums are linked to various time based schedules or sessions based at the centre. Centres can be booked to support various programs, which can easily be viewed and managed. Facilities are provided to enter large scale curriculum marking against a particular program against a particular centre

Detailed quality control and monitoring of centres is user defined and maintained. Linked to the ProTask manager module, any control criteria can be alerted to the appropriate manager.

ProEducation accepts external marking which can be imported direct from approved examiners/centres.

Curriculum/Programs              

A detailed framework for the curriculum of an organisation can be defined.  This can include the overall program within which units, then elements, can be defined, each of which can include courses, examinations and assignments.  In all cases terminology and default information can be configured for each specific requirement such as units, elements and courses, examinations and assignments. Having defined the above aspects of the curriculum each can be interlinked via the powerful relationship functionality within Pro-7. A graphical representation via an explorer makes the structure easy to navigate and understand.  Within the curriculum (program) structure additional levels can be defined which then interrelate with the overall marking and grade structures

Exam Papers  

ProEducation maintains unlimited questions, which are created under user defined subject headings with the associated multiple-choice answers.  This powerful tool creates exam papers via automatic random selection from the stored questions and subject headings; the resulting papers can then be automatically marked via OCR scanning technology.

Despatch

Full despatch control facilities are provided where organisations outsource marking to third parties.  These include the initial creation of the items to despatch, receipt of the marking details from the examiners and the return of the marking details to the student with automatic grade allocation derived from the markings

Reporting

A multitude of standard reports are provided within the educational module, which can be further supplemented by the integrated reports module, the ProQuery module and supporting application analytical tools.
