The Salvation Army & ProTech Put Supporters First
The Salvation Army (United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland) has selected ProTech and Pro-8 to build a new Annual Appeal Module based on the ProTech Pro-8 CRM
LONDON 14/02/11: The Salvation Army (United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland) announced today that it had signed a contract with ProTech Computer Systems Ltd for a new Annual Appeal system. This selection was the result of a rigorous evaluation of available Fundraising and CRM systems suppliers in both Europe and North America. The evaluation included detailed requirements definitions, sales presentations through to exhaustive customer workshops to understand the features and benefits of each available solution.
The Salvation Army, headquartered in South London, is a Christian church and charity providing spiritual, emotional and material support to people in need. Around 700 of its corps (churches) across the United Kingdom take part in its Annual Appeal, raising funds to support Salvation Army social and community work across the UK. Much of the Annual Appeal fundraising is by way of house-to-house collections, but this income is supplemented by other forms of fundraising, including street collections, standing days at stations and supermarkets, static box collections, and local initiatives such as concerts and sponsored events.
Martyn Croft, Chief Information Officer stated "It is of great importance that The Salvation Army can have technology partners and platforms that can offer flexibility in both their operation and functionality. In ProTech and Pro-8 we found an organisation that majored on customer satisfaction with a product that could be configured and developed around the exacting needs of our organization with regard to this specialised area of fundraising."
Mark Trouth, Managing Director of ProTech commented "We are delighted to have been chosen to develop an Annual Appeal module to further add to the latest generation of the Pro-8 suite of applications. We have worked closely with The Salvation Army's team and would thank them for their help and enthusiasm in defining the detailed solution that will be implemented. We see this as another clear indication that the Not-for-Profit sector needs technology partners that are flexible and put the needs of the customer first."
