ProTech Delivers Another Successful User Group
Familiar faces from existing clients were joined by new faces from NFPs who have recently become part of the ProTech User Community, at its Autumn User Group held on 26 October at the London office of ProTech partner Sungard Availability Services.
Jenny Parsons, ProTech’s COO, welcomed everyone and gave a brief overview of the company’s background followed by an outline of the recent ProTech internal restructure.
Of most importance to ProTech’s clients is that Steven Shiels has been promoted to Head of Operations with Professional Services and Client Services falling within his remit. Steve will be the single point of contact for clients whether they are engaged with ProTech in project or ongoing work activities. As the single point of contact Steve will be able to greatly enhance communication between ProTech and its clients as he will disseminate information from them to the appropriate ProTech contact or team.

- ProTech’s Free Security Resilience Forum Security Event planned for Thurs 23 November to be conducted jointly with ProTech partners Sungard Availability Services and Imperva. For more details click here.

As part of a Security Customer Support Update attendees were told that ProTech is now ISO 27001:2013 and Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials PLUS certified. Click here to read the press release.
Apprenticeship Data Management Specialist, Elly Scantlebury then gave a presentation around The Apprenticeship Levy and How it can Benefit your Organisation. Scantlebury covered the changes around how Apprenticeships are funded which came into force in May of this year and how ProTech could potentially help NFPs and Public sector organisations successfully manage their Apprenticeship programmes and associated funding.
Richard Gott, Chair of MemberWise Network presented the 7-Steps to Drive Deeper and More Meaningful Engagement with your Members. Gott covered the need to take a more structured approach to member engagement. For those who missed this informative session it is well worth looking at the MemberWise website and the Member Engagement Hub.
GDPR was next on the Agenda and Jezz Gobran, MD of i-Secured talked about the 5 Key Considerations for GDPR Readiness and Ongoing Compliance. Gobran’s presentation covered how ProTech and i-Secured can help NFPs and Public sector organisations shape their GDPR journey and that of their members.
The last session of the day was Pro9 In Action - a demo of Pro9’s key features and functionality delivered by ProTech’s Senior Business Consultant, Ian Roach.
The feedback from attending ProTech clients was that it was a worthwhile and very informative event covering two hot topics: The Apprenticeship Levy and GDPR, plus perhaps the key challenge facing all NFPs – how to drive member engagement.
