The Institute of Physics Upgrades to Pro-8

The Institute of Physics Selects ProTech and Pro-8 to build on their Membership, Events Management and introduce a full CRM and Marketing facility to support their corporate strategy

The Institute of Physics (IoP) announced today that it had signed a contract with ProTech Computer Systems Ltd for a major new upgrade to the latest version of the Pro suite; Pro-8. The decision to upgrade was based on the number of new features and benefits offered by the new version and the continued excellent working relationship between the two organisations. The Institute of Physics, headquartered in Portland Place in London is a scientific charity devoted to increasing the practice, understanding and application of physics. It has a worldwide membership of over 36,000 and is a leading communicator of physics-related science to all audiences, from specialists through to government and the general public. Its publishing company, IOP Publishing, is a world leader in scientific publishing and the electronic dissemination of physics.

John Brindley, Director Membership & Business at The Institute of Physics explained that their decision to upgrade was based on a clear demonstration of the vastly increased functionality contained within the new version. Features such as CRM, Workflow management, Campaign Management will add tremendous value onto what is already a solid and reliable foundation.
