PR-CS-2011-02 Project Manager, Birmingham
Project Manager required by specialist software business, based in Birmingham.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (technology based) with a minimum of 4 years experience to provide Project Management services across a range of client projects.
You will be responsible for Project Scoping, Initiation, Client Engagement / Management and all aspects of Project Management throughout the full Software Development Life cycle (SDLC).
The key accountabilities of the role are:
- Work with clients to define project scope and initiation of projects
- Gain a detailed understanding of the client’s business and manage key stakeholders
- Production of project approach, project management requirements, project plans, highlight reports, RAID logs, in support of client projects
- Develop feasibility and scoping reports
- Work with technical and consultancy teams to understand technical and configuration requirements and translate technical information into a format that can be readily understood by clients
- Financial management and control of projects and internal resource
- Maximise revenue opportunities by optimising margin and identifying new opportunities
- Line and performance management of internal resource
- Support all client facing activities conducted by internal team
- Presentation and influencing of clients on proposed solution(s), approach
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 4 years project management experience in information technology
- Education: degree or qualifications in direct or related field or equivalent relevant experience
- MS Project
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- ‘Not for Profit’ sector including membership organisations, charities etc
- Project Management of software implementation projects
- Prince2 / Kepner-Tregoe
