PR-CS-2011-01 Business Systems Analyst, Birmingham

Business Systems Analyst required by specialist software business, based in Birmingham.

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with a minimum of 4 years experience to provide business and data analysis services across a range of system implementation projects.

You will be responsible for requirements gathering, data analysis, functional and non functional requirements specification analysis and writing, proof of concepts and scoping support across the full Software Development Life cycle (SDLC).

The key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Work with clients to define business requirements
  • Gain a detailed understanding of the client’s business
  • Translate business requirements into functional and non functional requirements specifications
  • Understand and document data requirements and produce logical data flows
  • Develop feasibility and scoping reports
  • Work with technical and consultancy teams to design software development and configuration, based on business requirements
  • Support clients in gap analysis and user acceptance testing activities
  • Present and influencing clients on proposed solution(s)
  • Work with the Project Manager to plan and manage the implementation

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 4 years business systems analysis
  • Education: degree in direct or related field or equivalent relevant experience

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • ‘Not for Profit’ sector including membership organisations, charities etc
  • Technical: .Net framework, SQL
  • SSADM
  • Programming experience
